The Portico Library is a beautiful Grade 1 listed building in the centre of Manchester. Formerly a subscription library but now open to the public, the Portico houses an incredible archive and collection that charts the history of Manchester since the 18th Century. We are working with the Trust and Librarian on a plan to re-unite all three floors of the building and create a fully accessible, vibrant and relevant literary centre in the heart of the city.

Working with Calder Valley Community Land Trust, we developed a successful Community Share issue and brought in funding from Homes England and Coops UK BOOSTER Fund to purchase two houses that form part of The Fielden Acre in Todmorden. This secures the houses as affordable homes in perpetuity and brings the entire Fielden Acre site into community ownership.
